I appreciate the guest post, Marian Combs

I was in the market for a new dog, and Sarah had been the best pet I could have asked for. She was some sort of lab mix and I’d gotten her from a local shelter, but she was getting really lonely, so I decided it was time for a sister for Sarah. I wanted to get this dog from a breeder, mostly because I wanted a purebred Yorkshire Terrier and those were hard to come by as rescues.

I didn’t have home internet and looking at the library was getting tiresome, so I went to getclearwirelessinternet.com and found a mobile setup that worked for my budget. I immediately started looking for a Yorkie breeder in my area and it didn’t take long to find out a litter was just about to be born just up the road! I reserved one of the female pups and Sarah and I are going to meet her in just a couple of weeks. I’m really excited to have a new puppy and I think Sarah’s pumped as well!

While man has come to dominate our planet, we still rely on Mother Nature to provide for us. One animal that is very important to us is the Bee. Bees pollinate many flowers and plants, but especially plants we use for food. The problem is that Bee populations are mysteriously declining and threatening our food supply.

Many scientists believe that some chemicals found in pesticides are causing the decline in Bee numbers. Other problems such as viruses, bacteria, and parasites are killing the bees in large numbers. While studies are being done, the problem persists and is growing. I’ll be glad if we can find a way to restore the health of these friendly creatures.

We must always remember that no matter how much animals are a part of our lives, they are still animals. This seems to be the case today after a killer whale at SeaWorld killed an animal trainer. 40 year old Dawn Brancheau was pronounced dead after being fatally mauled by a killer whale that thrashed her under the water.

Unfortunately, this is not the first incident at SeaWorld. Other trainers have been attacked by the whales in the past and have been bitten or held under water. There have been at least two other known fatalities at other zoos or parks.

I found a pretty neat website while I was surfing the internet and I wanted to share it with everyone. It’s called the Purina animal all stars and is pretty cool! The site has many clips of people’s pets doing funny things. I like animals anyway, so I was quickly hooked!

I thought about adding my own clip to the site and hope to make my two cats famous. It would be great to see my pets receive the credit they deserve for just being the funny animals they are. I hope that you’ll be able to check out the site when you have time and let me know what you think!
