Nearly every American knows the story of bonnie and Clyde. The two were famous for their robberies and their ability to elude the law enforcement officers who were after them. Their run finally came to an end but they left behind some things to remember them by.

These things in particular were a .45 caliber Thompson submachine gun and an 1897 12-guage Winchester shotgun. The guns were seized after the pair shot two officers and continued their escape efforts. The guns recently sold at auction for a whopping $210,000 dollars. I guess their legacy lives on.

There has been some news around here lately that I haven’t had a chance to tell you about. It’s been a very busy time over the last few months and my writing has suffered. The big news is that my cousin John is Moving To Virginia. He has decided to transfer his job to this area and will be coming here soon. I am glad that I will be able to see him more often and be able to visit him and his wife easily.

John notified me of the good news last week and is preparing his household items for the big switch. He is busy packing up the items he wants to keep and discarding the ones he doesn’t need. He asked me about Virginia Moving Companies and whether I knew of any he could trust. While I am not an expert on Virginia Movers, I knew I would do what I could to help him out. I went online to find out what I could on the subject.

I found that there are many moving companies out there. Some have better ratings than others and are preferred by their customers. I tried to steer John toward one of the better companies so there would be no problems. I even found some Virginia International Movers that he might use. I’ll be glad to welcome john to Virginia and help him get started in his new home.

We have been lucky so far as the power is still on and I am able to write. We have stocked up on candles and water and so I believe we can make it though the effects of the storm. It is a little scary but I think we have been through the worst of it.

In the news today is an article about the U.S. intends to withhold $800 million dollars in aid from the Pakistani military. I was glad to hear this as I am a little tired of Pakistan’s antics. They are supposed to be our friends but it seems that they are stabbing us in the back at times.

As a taxpayer, I get frustrated when I know we are giving money away to people who don’t seem to respect us. They still seem to be mad about the raid on Osama Bin Laden. I say we keep our money until they change their minds about the world.

The news of the death of Osama Bin Laden has caused much jubilation around the world. I find it a little strange that there was a crowd of about 100 people shown celebrating in front of the White House within minutes of President Obama’s announcement. Where did all those people come from? How did they get there so quickly? Where did they get all those flags they were waving? After all, the announcement come late on Sunday night and the White House is not in a residential area. I find the whole thing very suspicious.

The videos we have been watching are remarkable, considering that people were losing their lives and their property all around them while amateur videos were being taken from cell phones and hand held video cameras.

We have been praying for quick rescue of the survivors and comfort for the people who have lost loved ones, their homes, farms and jobs. It truly a terrible thing to happen to such good people and t country’s friend in the far east.

The cost of the materials used to make pennies has risen and prices are expected to go higher. I guess the question is whether we still need the penny at all.

I believe that while the general public at large still like having pennies around, they would only be missed for awhile. It would make good economic sense to eliminate the penny and we could save a bundle of money.

The higher production of oil is sure to help America decrease its reliance on foreign oil sources. This will be good for our country and our economy. I’m glad that new technologies are coming out all the time and making our country stronger!

One area of the economy that is improving is the sale of Bison meat. The meat is very healthy as it has low cholesterol and is low fat. The problem is that the Bison do not breed as fast as cows and the supply is hard to increase quickly. This has kept prices of the meat high.

Farmers are trying to catch up with demand by keeping more breeding cows out of the slaughterhouse. The Bison is catching on as the newest healthy meat and demand is getting higher all the time. I think it’s a good thing and I hope the supply of these animals will increase so the price of the meat will drop!

I think that by now, nearly everyone agrees that global warming is a real threat to our planet. Currently, the U.N. is holding talks with numerous nations trying to find a solution. The talks haven’t been going that well but there are breakthroughs from time to time. The problem is that there is little time left.

The good news is that scientists are coming up with new ideas all the time. Some ideas are pretty dramatic and controversial such as a plan to spray clouds with seawater to make them brighter. Other plans include planting the deserts and pouring iron into the sea. I hope these ideas keep coming and we’ll be able to solve this problem.
