The stock market did not enjoy the holiday as well as the rest of America did. It seems that concerns over the European debt crises have left it sinking lower and lower. Many experts in the field blame a lack of capital as the main reason for the decline. It is getting really hard to borrow money these days.

The good news is that some areas did well. The entertainment industry made some gains as trading was a bit slow. Anyway, I hope things look better on Monday.

One thing I always like to do is too dress comfortably. I really don’t like to dress to formally as the buttons and fancy shoes tend to pinch me in the wrong places. Since I have to dress up a certain amount for work, I like to relax when I get home. That’s when a friend of mine told me about a site that has some really comfortable clothes to wear. These clothes are becoming all the rage with certain people. You can look nice as well as be comfortable. Kids also like them as my daughter has some. She says many of the kids wear them as well. They go well with anything and keep you warm at night. I am thinking of getting some more and stocking my closet full of them. That way, I am certain to have whatever I need for any occasion.

One item in the news that has me puzzled is the fact that many people are rolling their own cigarettes. By doing so, people can save a lot of money if they spend the time to do it. Some state governments are against the practice and are trying to have it outlawed. I don’t agree with this.

I smoke and I have had occasion to roll my own cigarettes. To have the government tell me that I should pay taxes for this is wrong. I say that people should have the right to do what they want without government interference.

One of the best things about my job is that I get to help form the way our company looks and feels. I recently got the task of dressing up our employee area. This is a place outside in the back of the building where employees can spend their lunch break. Currently, there is not much there except for one broken down picnic table. I thought I could make this area a lot nicer.

Just when I thought I was done, I happened to talk to my secretary. She suggested that as some of the employees have kids, a playground might be nice. I promptly found some playground equipment that would serve the purpose just fine. I am sure that when everything is complete, we will have a nice area to unwind in as we take our breaks from work.

Once again, congress is pandering to special influences instead of doing what is right. This time school lunches are the forum and our kid’s health is at stake. In order to save money, some in congress are proposing a law that allows questionable choices for school lunches.

One item that has many frustrated is the fact that ketchup can be counted as a vegetable. This has food experts going out of their minds. I would ask congress to consider that their kids were in public schools and what they would like for them.
