Its been several days since Japan was hit by the big earthquake and the ensuing tsunami. The videos we have been watching are remarkable, considering that people were losing their lives and their property all around them while amateur videos were being taken from cell phones and hand held video cameras.

We have been praying for quick rescue of the survivors and comfort for the people who have lost loved ones, their homes, farms and jobs. It truly a terrible thing to happen to such good people and t country’s friend in the far east.

They say that on St. Patrick’s Day, everyone wants to claim to have a little bit of Irish in their bloodline. I know that I have quite a bit of Irish on my mother’s side, mixed with a little bit of Scottish. Of course, we are German on my father’s side.

I don’t claim to have anything to do with where my ancestors come from or what they did in their lifetime before I was born. But on St. Patrick’s Day I will make claim to the Irish in my blood and will be wearing the green to say so.

I sure am glad that wintertime is over. The sun has been out lately and the weather is warming up. I have been ready to start the garden again as my wife and I love to work in it. There is much to do around the house and I want to get started.

One thing I want to do is to build a barbeque. I have some bricks I picked up from a friend of mine and I want to try my hand at masonry. I have a spot all picked out and am just waiting for nice weather and a few days off.

One thing that many people have in common is uniforms. Whether you’re a police officer or a fireman, most people can easily tell your occupation just by looking at what you’re wearing. This is a good thing for the most part as it makes life a little easier. Many people also take a lot of pride in their uniforms and I know of one such case.

A friend of mine named Sheryl works in a hospital. She takes pride in the nursing uniforms she wears. She always looks good in them and they are always clean and pressed to a tee. I asked her about them once and she told she buys them online as she wanted ones that were better than everybody else’s. She said her favorite was the cherokee nursing uniforms that she usually has on. They are really nice and she wears them so well.

The other kind of uniform she liked was the cotton scrub uniforms she wears from time to time. Sheryl is a wonderful soul and I am glad she has something she loves to do and is good at. I wish everyone could be as lucky as she is and find the uniform that is right for them. I wish you all the best of luck!
