The state of West Virginia lost one of its greatest proponents when Sen. Robert Byrd died today. The senator has been in poor health over the last several years and is believed to have succumbed to dehydration and heat exhaustion. He was 92 years old.

The senator served for 50 years making him the longest serving senator in history. A staunch democrat, he used his powerful seat to bring billions of dollars to his home state. He will be missed by his peers and all those who knew him. His great speeches will be remembered in the halls of congress for many years to come.

With the oil in the gulf still spewing, the CEO of BP has decided to take some time off to attend a yacht race in England. There are many Americans who are really unhappy with this decision and they are letting the CEO know how they feel. The internet is full of people who are posting their opinions online about the matter.

The race he is attending is being held near the Isle of Wight. The course is around 50 nautical miles long and attracts wealthy yacht owners from all over the world. The CEO has entered his own boat named “Bob” and is watching with interest in the outcome. I wish he was as interested in the outcome of the oil from the gulf!

There has been a lot of talk about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The economic effects on the fishing industry are now becoming ever more apparent. People are losing their jobs as the fishermen are no longer able to fish due to the concerns of the effects of oil on the fish. Oystermen are having these same problems.

One business that is suffering is the P&J Oyster Company. They recently laid off 11 full time workers now that there are no oysters being brought in to shuck. The company has been in business for 134 years and is struggling to stay afloat. These are the kind of stories that bring home the true reality of the disaster.

One thing our company does is put on a lot of events. We have many new products to sell and we have found that it is useful to get our products known. Brand recognition is a proven method of sales. One great way to do that is to bring our products to the people so that they can see and touch them in person. Holding an event in a nice hotel or at a trade show is a good way to do that.

One of the problems we encountered when doing this is crowd control. People tend to crowd around our stand and things can get hectic from time to time. We found that by setting up stanchions with velvet rope, we could keep things organized. People are used to standing in line and it gives us a chance to focus on one person at a time. It has been an effective tactic and we are happy with the results we’ve seen so far.

I guess we should be happy that our products generate so much attention. The need to set up barricades shows how much our products are in demand. I hope this trend continues and we will have many years of increasing profits because of it. I love being in business and solving the challenges it brings.

Previously, the U.S. has kept the number of nuclear weapons it has a secret. This is no longer the case. The Obama administration has released formerly top secret records of the number of weapons it has had since 1962. We currently possess 5,113 nuclear warheads. Some are long range weapons and some are short range weapons.

President Obama feels that being transparent will help foster confidence in the United States campaign to reduce nuclear weapons around the world. The U.S. has been working with Russia to dismantle a number of nuclear weapons. We are also a member of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
