With the U.S. economy struggling, many people are looking for ways to save. One area that can be dramatically reduced is your electric bill. Many household items are constantly using energy even when they are not in use. Here are a few tips that may help you save on your bills.

Any electronic item should be turned off if it is not in use. It’s even better to unplug it altogether. Turning off lights, video game consoles, and televisions can all add up to great savings. Using cold water when you wash your clothes is another good idea. CFL bulbs can also help with your savings. Take a look around your house and see what you can do without.

It can win an election. Meg Whitman who is running for the California governor’s seat is planning on spending as much as $100 million dollars of her own money to win the election. Meg is the former chief executive of eBay and has a vast personal fortune.

Critics of her campaign say that she has not been responsive to news reporters or voters when it comes to answering questions. Others say that the voters should have the chance to make up their own minds. My thought is that if I had 100 million dollars, I wouldn’t spend it on politics!

Everybody has their own particular strengths and weaknesses, especially when it comes to difficult subjects at school. I was always good in English class and never had a problem, but when it came to math, that was something else. It seems that my daughter is the same way and she struggles with the same subject; math. When she came home needing Statistics help, I knew we had a problem.

Many times I will turn for help from a great source; the internet. I know there are many sites out there and I was able to find one that offered to have a Statistics tutor get her the help she needed. I liked the fact that the service could be done from home and all she needed was a computer. She’s always had one and so that was no problem. The service makes available a one on one tutor and that made all the difference.

My daughter was able to take advantage of the help she received and is now doing very well in school. She is no longer afraid to tackle even the toughest Statistics problems. I am so proud of her and tell everyone so. The best part is that now she may be able to teach her children math and rid our family of one of its negative traits.
