While the people of California are renowned for enjoying good weather, that is not always the case. There are times when the state is affected by heavy rains and this can cause severe mud flows that are potentially dangerous and life threatening. Authorities are warning residents in affected areas to leave until the danger is over. I hope these people will listen to good sound advice and do as requested!

One thing that we have been working on for awhile now is fixing up our house. We did a lot of remodeling over the summer and continue to find ways to make our home look a little better. One thing I feel good about is the caring that U.S. citizens have shown to the people of Haiti. In the aftermath of that countries terrible disaster, the American people have come through with support and donations for these heartbroken people. I feel proud that my fellow citizens have stepped up to the plate and put their money where their mouth is! I hope that we will all continue to support these people in their time of need!
