One potential disaster that I heard about today was the threat that foreign insects could wipe out some American species of trees and plants. Due to ever increasing foreign trade, some animals are making their way to America and finding a new home there. Since many of these animals have no natural predators, they are finding life easy. There are numerous examples of this and the government needs to step in and help prevent a disaster.
