I guess it is inevitable that everyone heard about the famous Balloon Boy case. The parents of 6 year old Falcon Heene claimed that he was stuck in a balloon that carried him off to who knows where. The case turned out to be a hoax and the parents were brought to trial. The judge decided that they were guilty and sentenced the father to 90 days in jail.

The mother in the case was sentenced to 20 days in jail. As a further punishment, both parents are restricted from making money on their fame for a period of four years. I am glad that the judge decided in this fashion and hope that we can all avoid these types of incidents in the future.
