One of the things we did while remodeling our house was to have an electrician install ceiling fan boxes. When we bought the house there were no fans anywhere. Our old house had fans and we missed them a lot. We thought that by adding them to the rooms we use the most, we would receive the comfort we desired. They can be a blessing when the weather is hot.

Now our home is so much more inviting. Everyone loves the ceiling fans we selected and comment on how good they look. It’s a wonderful feeling to relax in comfort with a gentle breeze blowing from above. I also realized the by adding the fans we were able to increase the value of our home. That’s a good feeling as well.

One thing I was reading about in the paper was the number of cars that are stolen every year. It comes out to the unbelievable number of about one million a year. The funny part is that it’s not always the fancy expensive cars that are stolen; it’s the every cat car that’s in demand.

It seems that the older cars are more vulnerable to theft as they have fewer theft deterrent devices. Their parts are also readily saleable to the black market. I hope that everyone will learn to take the extra precautions needed and lock up their cars.
