I read an interesting article today about the drug cocaine being drugged. It seems that in order to spice up the coke, cocaine manufacturers are adding the drug Levamisole to increase the users high. The Drug Enforcement Agency estimates that nearly one third of coke in the U.S. contains the unwanted additive.
The biggest problem with the Levamisole is that is can be deadly to humans. There are already reports of deaths attributed to the drug. Its normal use is to de-worm cattle. The effect of the drug is to lower the bodies’ immune system. I hope that anyone who is thinking of doing illegal drugs will think twice about what they are putting into their body!
