One of the more bizarre holidays we have is National Catfish day. Due to a proclamation by former president Ronald Reagan, this day is recognized by millions as a day to celebrate the benefits of farm raised catfish. With the passing of house resolution 178, this day is now a real holiday, believe it or not!

Personally, I do not care for catfish. My ex next door neighbor did though and ate them all the time. Whenever I was fishing and caught one, I would bring it to him. He would always thank me and asked for more. I guess that catfish lovers around the globe will attest to the benefits of eating catfish, but I will not!
