Boy that turned out to be a bigger job than I thought it would have been.  When I started pulling up the old flooring, we found water damage under the refrigerator.  Well that made us start looking more so we pulled out the dishwasher and it was worse yet.  They decided they wanted me to take out all of the cabinets and appliances so I could check for water damage on the whole kitchen floor.

I had to replace about a quarter of the sub-floor because of leaking appliances.  Whoever the plumber or electrician was, they sure didn’t go out of their way to check for leaks.  One good thing is I found out from having to replace the sub-floor that I wouldn’t have to use the cement board.  I was afraid I would have no choice especially with the damage that was showing.  The rest of the floor is good, it’s level and there were enough layers of sub-floor that I could just lay the tile right on top of it.  The kitchen took 3 days alone.

The rest of the flooring took another 2 days so I had a much bigger job than I ever expected from just that one client.  I have to admit, even if I am the one that did it, it turned out beautiful.  That’s the reward for a hard job.
