Today’s celebration of Memorial Day has a special meaning for me. As a former service member I realize the sacrifices me fellow Americans have made in service to their country. I sincerely hope that all Americans will take a minute to reflect on those who have gone before us providing the freedoms we enjoy. The men and women of our nation’s defense forces have served us all in a professional and selfless manner.
I am proud of our country and the rights and privileges its citizens enjoy. We must all remember that these things were paid for with the lives of many. I am proud to hang the stars and stripes in front of our house. I hope that all Americans will do so as well!

Memorial Day is one of the saddest holidays of the year. We always go to the veterans cemetery and walk among the graves to think about the sacrifices these people made for us all.
